Shake Shack is celebrating five years of being in the UK and they’re doing it in style by teaming up with Billy Durney of Brooklyn’s Hometown Bar-B-Que for a one-off feast at the new Mansion House shack. Hometown is widely rated as the best BBQ in New York (our stateside team can test this is most definitley the case), so this is a pretty exciting opportunity to check them out in London.
The special menu includes the Hometown Shack (the SS Aberdeen Angus patty topped with smoked dry-aged top loin , Oglesheild cheese, caramelised onions and jus), Hometown Fries (crinkle cut and topped with cheddar cheese sauce and pastrami smoked bacon) and the Smoked Caramel Bourbon Shake topped with whipped cream, smoked salt and cookie crumb. YUM. Tickets cost just a fiver and include all that plus a pint of ShackMeister beer, with all proceeds going to the #BakeForSyria campaign (and there will be a handful available on the door too) so it’s great food for a great cause.
