Setlist at Somerset House Is Launching a Supper Club Series Featuring Female Chefs

The weekend supper clubs will be running from October up until Christmas

Setlist nailed the al fresco vibes this summer with small plates and cocktails served out on its expansive riverside terrace. Now it’s getting cosy for autumn, doing 70-person weekend supper clubs in the indoor pavilion, decked out with sofas, heaters, festoon lighting and candlelit tables.

Some of the city’s most exciting female chefs will be hosting the supper clubs, which will begin at 6.30pm and cost £65 per person. Here’s the line-up:

Fri 24th October | Marie Mitchell x Setlist

Marie, who won the Debut Cookery Book Award at the Fortnum & Mason Awards this year for Kin: Caribbean Recipes for the Modern Kitchen, will be cooking up the likes of peppered prawns with pickled spring onions, and jerk pork.

Fri 31st October & Sat 1st November | Fire Islands by Melissa Thompson

BBQ chef, award-winning food writer and author of Motherland Melissa Thompson will be doing a menu of curry fried chicken with scotch bonnet & lime mayo; fire-roasted leeks with walnut romesco; and apple molasses tarte tatin.

Fri 7th & Sat 8th November | The Little Sauce by Suzie Bakos

The Little Sauce supper club celebrates Iraqi cuisine and the nostalgic dishes chef Suzie Bakos grew up on, so you can expect twists on classic Middle Eastern dishes including za’atar manakish, chicken shawarma sesame toast, and kunafe.

Fri 14th & Sat 15th November | Fat Tea by Ana Da Costa

Nodding to her roots in Macau, Ana celebrates the vibrant blend of Macanese, Portuguese, and Chinese cuisines through dishes like whipped tofu with tapioca crackers, fried wontons, and aubergine sambal.

Fri 21st & Sat 22nd November | Sel by Alexina Anatole

Writer, chef, presenter and MasterChef finalist in 2021, Alexina will be fusing Japanese flavours with European techniques for her menu, which includes miso shallot tart with nori salt; soy-braised short ribs with lovage and pickled radishes; and matcha tiramisu.

Fri 5th & Sat 6th December | Babette by Bab Haus

Leyli and Rebecca are the duo behind South Wales’ Bab Haus and Babette is their supper club. For their Setlist dinner, the pair will be serving prawn toast with red curry crema and pineapple & habanero sambal; pecan smoked lamb shoulder & sausage; and Patron XO Cafe tiramisu.

Fri 12th & Sat 13th December | AMA’s Sessions by Rachel Ama

Rachel Ama, who’s got two bestselling cookbooks and several TV appearances under her belt, will be celebrating plant-based and Caribbean flavours at Setlist, as well as showcasing her small-batch sauces, like the Sticky Miso Jerk and the Hibiscus Hot Sauce.
