THE SELFRIDGES CHRISTMAS SHOP IS OPEN

The Selfridges Christmas Shop has taken up a 4000 sq ft space on the lower ground floor of the department store’s flagship site

It’s official, Christmas in London is back. Last month, Liberty opened its festive doors and now Selfridges is getting in on the Christmas action too. The seasonal store is taking over an entire floor, making itself at home on the lower ground level of the Oxford Street shop. And it certainly needed the space since it’s stocking a massive 1300 decorations (that’s an extra 12% more than last year), making it the biggest edition of the Christmas Shop to date. Aside from tree decorations, you can stock up on crackers, lights, stockings, cards, beauty advent calendars, food, fashion, toys and accessories.

Selfridges is now three years into their Project Earth campaign which encourages shoppers to make conscious choices and highlights ways we can make shopping more sustainable. With that in mind, they’ve made it so that a total of 60% of all decorations on sale are labelled as ‘planet-friendly’ options, meaning they may have been made from recycled materials, with ethical practices or by small and traceable businesses. Finally, you can make your Christmas tree that extra bit greener.
