You may think you’ve seen it all when it comes to the world of fabrics. Fabrics that glow, fabrics that interact with your phone, even fabrics that are made from old coffee grinds. Well, Lyndon and Jamie Cormack, the brothers behind Herschel Supply Co have come up with an exciting, self-healing coating for fabrics. The high-tensile nylon fabric named SealTech looks like your normal run-of-the-mill nylon, but this magic fabric will reseal and recover from puncture with just the heat of your hand – you just simply rub the damaged spot and the double sided coating will reseal.
Currently Herschel have used this fabric on a backpack and duffle in a minimalist all-black design, but with plans to extend the range in 2017, it looks like we’ll soon all be carrying a magic bag…
