London is the heart of the city’s microbreweries with no less than three craft brewers in the area and a fourth coming soon. Ale is clearly rising in popularity with a definite demand for designer beers, so it’s no surprise to see that the relaunched trendy Hackney boozer the Sebright Arms is catering for ale drinkers by announcing their Real Ale and Rockin’ Blues Festival.

Taking place over the weekend of 10th – 11th March, the festival celebrates the community of East London microbreweries with beverages from London Fields, Redchurch and the East London Brewery and a dozen more from further afield. The festival is a great opportunity to sample new beers and get a sneak preview of those that will be launched soon.

Music on the Saturday will be supplied by Gaz Mayall of Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues spinning old school rock and roll and rhythm and blues. Food will be provided by the Lucky Chip burger van who are currently taking over the kitchen and have been for quite sometime now.

The event runs from midday to midnight on Saturday and midday to 10.30pm on Sunday. Entry is free and beers are just £2.50 each for as long as stocks last – get there early to avoid disappointment and bag a seat before the masses arrive!
