For one night only, you have the chance to go back to school and relive your school days, experiencing school dinners all over again – an experience we are sure you have been missing.
Don’t worry though, there won’t be a hint of overcooked cabbage, soggy chips or lumpy rice pudding, this promises to be a meal fit for a king, all in the Victorian surroundings of the Central Foundation Boys School in East London. The meal is accompanied by entertainment from Mark Grist, former teacher and YouTube rap battle sensation, DJ and MC Charlie Dark with music from acoustic/electronic/folk/ soul vocalist ESKA, providing he education for the evening.
The evening kicks off with registration, naturally, where the school choir will be performing while you enjoy welcome cocktails. Dinner in the dining hall is served by school dinner ladies who we hope are friendlier than we remember from our school days. The head-teacher will also be taking assembly, in between performances for the guest performers.
Tickets are £60 each, including the four-course meal and canapés. Funds will also be going towards supporting the school. You’re sure to learn something from the guest speakers, but don’t worry, there’s no test to study for a the end. And if it all gets too much, you can meet us behind the bike sheds for a crafty smoke.
