The Sausage Press x Renegade collab wine is here
We’ve already brought you a zine on the very best places to drink low-intervention wine in London but that wasn’t quite enough vino action for us, so we’ve only gone and done an actual bottle of our own. ‘Skin in the Game’ is an exclusive collab with Renegade Urban Winery – the sparkling red has been made using the ‘col fondo’ method of winemaking from the ‘pressings’ of Rondo grapes grown in Hampshire.
Fermented at a low temperature with just a week on skins to get that gorge colour, the wine isn’t heavy on tannins and has notes of blackcurrants, cherries and sloe berries. And it’s a banger if we do say so ourselves – quite literally too as it’s a real fizzy one when you first pop the bottle, with the bubbles disappearing more quickly leaving a juicy, smashable red behind.
