Savile
Row’s Sartoria has re-opened following a refurb with Italian chef Francesco Mazzei now at the helm. The all day eatery now features a new bar as well as an outside terrace and a couple of private dining rooms. Food is inspired by Francesco’s roots, with dishes from his native Calabria and other regions in Italy. There’s plenty of fresh pasta on the menu, including a super soft tortelli filled with burrata, spicy n’duja and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Bellissimo. There’s also lobster tagliolini featuring half a lobster…well this is Mayfair sweetie. As well as dinner and lunch, Sartoria will serve breakfast too…we can’t wait to try the Eggs Purgatorio; that’s baked eggs with spicy tomato and n’duja sauce. Oh and there’s aperitivo hour too with boards of meat and cheese on the bar…looks like there’s a new place to go once your legs/credit cards have tired from all that shopping…
