sarona eatery to open in clerkenwell

We were pretty surprised when Workshop Coffee closed its doors in Clerkenwell last July and we’ve been wondering what would take its place. Well, after spotting some hoardings go up for a new restaurant called Sarona Eatery and after doing some digging we’ve discovered that it’s a new project from three friends Andre, Dan, and Stuart.

Sarona will be inspired by the flavours of Tel Aviv, with dishes including crispy cauliflower with amba, Hawayej roast lamb shoulder shakshuka, and chargrilled schug spiced tuna, with fresh baked halva twists and cheese bourekas on offer for brekkie plus a Shabbat brunch on Saturdays. Drinks-wise there’ll be Tishbi Israeli wine, craft beers from Beer Bazaar and Workshop Coffee (so it’s not totally gone). So far Sarona sounds like it could be fairly similar to restaurants like The Palomar, The Barbary or The Good Egg, which is alright by us.

And if you head down there before the end of May, you can get 25% OFF food and drink – just head to the Sarona website to get a voucher.

Opens Mon 14th May 2018
