SARAP TO OPEN IN BRIXTON VILLAGE

After successful residencies at The Duke’s Head in Highgate and The Sun & 13 Cantons in Soho, and after winning the top prize in last year’s Brixton Kitchen competition, Budgie Montoya is taking his Filipino-inspired concept Sarap permanent with a spot in Brixton Village. The menu will feature a mix of small and large sharing plates that draw influence from the flavours found across the Philippines, with lechon liempo as the signature dish. Sarap’s take on this classic features slow-roast pork belly stuffed with lemongrass, ginger, garlic and chilli served with spiced coconut vinegar, liver sauce and atchara pickle.

Alongside the food, Sarap will serve low-intervention wine, Filipino and local craft beers, and a rotating selection of batched cocktails. The restaurant opens on 30th January with free food and drink at the launch party, but if you get down there during the soft launch period 24th – 26th January, you can bag 50% OFF your bill.

Check out the Brixton spots we keep going back to here.
