SARAP FILIPINO BISTRO TO OPEN AT 10 HEDDON STREET

Now that Fallow has left 10 Heddon Street in Mayfair and is moving across the way to St James’s Market, it means there’s space for a new resident and it’s going to be Budgie Montoya, who’s opening Sarap Filipino Bistro there in November. This restaurant will be an evolution of his Brixton spot Sarap BAon and will be a celebration of his modern take on Filipino food. Lechon suckling pig will be the star of the show, stuffed with lemongrass and truffled adobo pork rice and served whole – this showstopper is designed to be shared between 4 – 6 people and needs to be ordered 48 hours in advance.

The rest of the menu features dishes like twice-cooked adobo pork rice stuffed trotter, smoked aubergines with tomatoes & salted duck egg, grilled monkfish escabeche, squash stuffed with mung beans & spinach, and four-layered tsokolate chocolate cake. In an effort to minimise waste, the cocktails will make use of the kitchen’s vinegars, fermentations and kombuchas, with beers from local breweries also on the drinks list. And if you wanna get into Sarap Filipino Bistro first, they’re knocking 50% OFF food bills on 17th & 18th November ahead of the official opening the following week.

Opens Tues 23rd November 2021
