We reckon you lot are special…well some of you are anyway. No, not special needs, we’re not going there. But among all of you out there the chances are there’s going to be a fair few talented people, people with ideas, skills and flare…people with dreams.
Not that your average 9 to 5 lets you act them out. Between the day job, going to the gym, shopping and feeding the cat, something that you thought was once destined to be can easily slip to last on the agenda, or maybe you just don’t know how to get to the next level. Well that’s why we’re here to tell you about Samsung’s ‘Launching People’.
Samsung are looking for undiscovered talent and want to hear from people with a passion for food, film, music and photography. Four celebrity mentors, actor Idris Elba, singer-songwriter Paloma Faith, pop up chef Gizzi Erskine, and portrait and fashion photographer Rankin will be preparing the ‘chosen ones’. If you have the ideas and are creative and passionate about food, film, music or photography, well this is your head start.
To win you’ll need to grab the attention of the mentors in a 2-minute video all about you and your ambition. We’re hear to tell you about what Gizzi is looking for. She wants passion, enthusiasm and ambition….whether you are a blank canvas or a fountain of knowledge on all things food, Gizzi has your back if you are fresh enough to change up the game.
You have until 6th March to submit your video via launching-people-uk where each mentor will then choose one person to work with on a one to one level and help develop your ideas into a reality. Later this spring, you maybe be one of the final four featuring in a TV series where the public get to cast their vote for a winner via Facebook. Believe people!
What do you get? Well you get two to three weeks working with a celebrity mentor, an invaluable experience right there. You also get a further £500 for personal tuition and Samsung will aid you in expenses of up to £2000 towards technology.
Want our advice? Make the video fun, get your friends to help, be enthusiastic, be yourself and make sure you have decent light. Seriously, what you got to loose?
