The much-loved pop-up urban design market SAMPLE, curated by the Hemingway Design team and hosted at Greenwich Peninsula, is making a welcome return this month. SAMPLE Autumn is the first major event taking place at Design District, London’s new permanent, purpose-built home for the Creative Industries. SAMPLE kicks off a month-long celebration of creativity and design, to mark the launch of the exciting new neighbourhood. To celebrate, SAMPLE will be hosting a series of talks taking place in Bureau, the new members’ club at the heart of Design District, on topics like climate change, the future economy and creativity post-Covid across the weekend with speakers including Jefferson Hack, the Design Museum’s Cat Drew and Creative England’s Caroline Norbury MBE .

Some of London’s coolest indie brands, makers and artists across homeware, fashion, health & beauty, and food & drink, including the likes of Orris London, Artisan & Fox, Kam Creates, Edy & Bridge, Cakehole and Little Sparrow Tea will be selling their wares at the market. You’ll be able to get street food and drinks from Design District Canteen, the brand-new food hall now open in the area, and also for the first time ever, a line-up of DJs from Worldwide FM, Gilles Peterson’s, award winning global radio platform, will be taking over the decks at SAMPLE Autumn, bringing their pick of global underground sounds to Greenwich Peninsula for one weekend only, hosted at The Design District.
