Fitzrovia restaurants keep on coming this year with Uzbek spot Samarkand swinging open in September. Serving up traditional flavours of the Silk Road with a contemporary touch, the menu takes inspiration from founder Sanjar Nabiev’s childhood in Uzbekistan, with signature dishes like jizbiz, lamb chops with sautéed potatoes; somsa, pastry parcels filled with lamb or sweet potato; and plov, fried rice served with lamb and vegetables. With ornate interior design that references the astronomical heritage of the restaurant’s namesake city and an impressive range of vodkas behind the bar, Samarkand is shaping up to be the real deal.

Fancy getting a taste of all that before doors officially open? From 12th August right up to 3rd September, Samarkand is offering 50% OFF food and drink, and if you want in, we recommend making rezzies, which you can do here or over the phone on 0203 871 4969.

Opening Sat 3rd September 2016
33 Charlotte St, London, W1T 1RR
