We first brought you news that chef Nusret Gökçe, nicknamed ‘Salt Bae’ due to his infamous meat seasoning technique that became a video viral sensation, was expanding his Nusr-Et Steakhouse empire and coming to London back in 2018. Three years later and it’s finally happened as the restaurant is now open at The Park Tower Knightsbridge hotel. And he’s probably chosen the right location here as he’s as famous for his high prices as much as his seasoning, with steaks costing as much as £250 (with ones covered in gold costing even more) and diners in NYC spending over $500 on dinners.
As seen in his viral vids, Nusret knows his way around a piece of meat (and knows how to pose with it too) and you can expect many of his signature dishes, including roasted asado short rib, New York-style lamb, fillet mignon and a Nusr-Et burger to be on the menu at his London spot. So, now’s your chance to see Salt Bae do his thang in real life.
