Beauty salon brand RAWR has just opened a new flagship in Fitzrovia to mark the rebrand of the business, formerly known as Lashious Beauty. And it’s made quite the statement with the space – there’s an orange floor, blue walls and a strong jungle theme that extends from the palm print wallpaper to the foliage to the swinging monkey lamps above the nail bar.
RAWR specialises in brows, lashes and nails but with a team of expert therapists on hand, they also offer waxing, blowdries and massages. RAWR knows we’re all strapped for time, so the salon offers speedy treatments like threading, tints and file & polish manis that are ideal for squeezing in on your lunch break, as well as more intensive options like TLC pedicures and lash extensions for when you want something more glam.
We swung by for a gel manicure – gotta get those nails on point for party season after all. The technician was happy to advise on the best length and nail shape, and she quickly got to work filing them down, buffing the surfaces with a drill and tidying up the cuticles, before finishing with OPI gel polish.
The standard gel mani is £30 with the more luxe one, featuring an extra scrub and massage, is £40, which isn’t bad for such a central spot. And RAWR is open until 8pm during the week for when you need a post-work pamper.
