SALON SPY | PATRIZIA MANIAS

Clapham peeps may already be familiar with Patrizia Manias as the first London outpost from the Milan brand has been open in SW11 for a few years. Now they’ve gone central with a shiny new salon in Covent Garden. The space is molto elegante, we’re talking polished floors, orange leather chairs and a sleek black central unit with mirrors rising up from the middle. In fact if you were walking past and couldn’t see someone with foils in, you could easily mistake for it a gallery or high-end furniture store.

It’s safe too; not only is there hand sanitiser at the front desk, you get an extra towel to clean your hands when you’re sat down and a disposable mask to wear if you’re getting colour done so as not to ruin your reusable one.

Patrizia Manias is known for innovative colouring techniques and though we didn’t want a drastic change, we did need to give our hair colour a refresh so we went for demi colour (in between semi-permanent and permanent). Stylist Giorgia absolutely nailed the shade, mixing it up just slightly darker than our natural locks to add extra depth, and she used a Phillip Martin hair mask during the wash to leave our hair super soft and shiny. Several washes later and it still looks just as fresh, even if we can’t quite replicate the bouncy blow-dry at home.

If the rest of your bod needs a little TLC Patrizia Manias can take care of that too as they offer a range of beauty services including waxing, nails, facials, massages and exclusive T-Shape treatments. Go on, treat yourself.
