Sometimes getting your hair cut can be a stressful experience, especially in W1, but luckily we found just the right Environment. Nestled between the Wallace Collection (our favourite summer lunch spot) and the big yellow shop, Environment is a secret haven that we don’t really want to share – but we’re nice like that!
On entering the salon, we instantly felt a sense of calm. The space is minimal and relaxing – with only 3 seats in the main room it almost feels like you’re having a private session with one of the talented and super friendly stylists. We love the fact your hair is washed back of house, so none of those unflattering angles on show!! We’ll be honest, we did have a slight hangover when we arrived, but we were given a killer head massage which literally took all our cares away, we’re talking everything – bills, work, alcohol poisoning – the lot!
The team at Environment are specialists in wash and wear haircuts, it’s the type of modern do we love – a cut which obviously makes us look and feel good, but with minimal maintenance and crucially keeps its shape until next time.
What’s more Environment is not just a salon, it’s a lifestyle store, offering haircuts (obviously) but quirky music, fashion and art books, as well as East Asian influenced jewellery. It’s cool but not cocky, relaxing but not boring, we’ll be back soon!
