Itsa Friday night, we’re off for a pre-weekend spruce up of our barnet. We walk through the streets of Soho turning up Windmill Street where Clipso lives and we become instantly defrosted once inside. Clipso is a well establish salon with a team of ‘young, vibrant stylists’ and by George isn’t it just…’Drink?’…’It is Friday night after all isn’t?’ a glint in the receptionists eye.
The place is buzzing with they soft hum of chitter chatter and laughter, it feels a bit like we’ve crashed a party. With every magazine under the sun we’re left with our water to flick through the pages until greeted by Elisa, master hair designer. We’re deep in conversation on what is to be achieved, we’re listened to and explained the steps needed to get to the end result…the first of which is a good old wash.
This is the part where things get a little hazy, that neck massage…five more minutes and we’d have been snoring. One of the most reassuring things is how confident our master hair designer is, sometimes you go in a place and you’re out in ten mins, not here, your hair is valued, your experience is important. It turned out to be one of the longest hair cuts we’ve had but we tell you it happens to be one of the best, obviously you can’t rush art. In all seriousness Clipso is a salon that gives off a strong impression that it is a cut above, no pun intended, without being pretentious or giving you the hair cut they ‘think’ you should have. Style, care and maintenance advice in abundance from some bloody nice and obviously talented people. Clipso rocks!
Cuts from a master hair designer start from £70…once in a while your hair needs to be treated and Christmas is coming up.
