SALON SPY | CHAMPAGNE ON ICE FACIAL AT YOUNG LDN

We’ve had one of the hottest summer so far on record, which in turn has been playing havoc on our skin (and we’ve still got a change of season to come). Maintaining a good skincare routine can be hard work, and we’ve found the solution to give your skin the love it desperately needs. Young LDN sits in buzzing Notting Hill and it immediately stands out, thanks to its industrial and colourful interiors and skincare experts who offer facial treatments like no other. Their approach is one that encourages clients to form lasting healthy skin habits after their salon treatment.

We opted for the Champagne on Ice facial, designed to revive tired and congested skin. First comes a double cleanse, followed by a gentle yet powerful foaming fruit Enzyme Masque which produces a luxurious foaming element, similar to champagne bubbles on the skin (now we see where the name comes from!). This active ingredient deeply cleanses and exfoliates the pores to reveal the most radiant skin, which promises to leave you glowing, detoxed and feeling brighter. Once this is removed, the ‘ice’ element of the facial begins, with a cooling, rejuvenating mask to deeply hydrate, brighten and re-energise for instantly radiant skin. The aesthetician follows this with a super relaxing deep facial massage to work in the products, followed by 20 minute LED light therapy and a much-welcomed arm and hand massage. A refreshing spritz, serum, lip cream and eye cream are applied to finish the treatment, with a final cooling use of the cold cyro balls to reduce inflammation.

The facial was extremely soothing, and we came away from it feeling revived and instantly younger-looking. The salon does all kinds of other treatments too, depending on the results you’re looking for. Now is more important than ever to be looking after your skin!
