The Blue Tit empire just keeps on expanding – the brand has now opened its ninth salon inside the Topshop flagship store in Oxford Circus. The salon is on the lower ground floor alongside Blink Brow Bar and Cheeky Nails, and though it’s a much smaller space compared to its stand-alone branches it still has that Blue Tit touch of cool with a mix of natural and industrial touches with birchwood, concrete, plants and an origami-style ceiling.
Thanks to its size (and the fact that it’s inside a busy store), the salon has a great buzzy atmosphere and the service is excellent too – anywhere you’re offered a glass of wine before you’ve sat down gets the thumbs up from us. From the initial consultation through to the hair wash to the cut itself, the stylists took their time and explained all the processes, making us really feel looked after. Salon manager Oli was fantastic; he gave us loads of top tips in regards to styling and what products to use – they use Davines in-house which smells AMAZING – and chopped just enough off to give us a refresh without taking too much precious length.
