Located on one of London’s most famous roads, the Portobello Road outpost of Blue Tit is the group’s tenth salon to open in the capital. The decor mirrors the salon’s neighbourhood as well as following in the footsteps of its sister sites, with bright colours, striking artwork and a rather cool patterned floor. And we love the fact that it’s open until 9pm on weekdays, making it that much easier to fit that cut into your diary.
Both before and during our appointment, our hairdresser was full of advice and tips to keep our hair both looking and feeling its best once we left the salon. It’s only the best at Blue Tit, so our hair got treated to high end shampoo and conditioner and also a much needed Olaplex treatment, which managed to restore the health in our dry and dull ends. The head massage provided during the treatment is definitely worth mentioning as it was possibly one of the best ones we’ve had in a salon in London and seemed to go on forever – a mega bonus if you ask us!
It’s fair to say that our cut and blow dry lived up to Blue Tit’s ethos that a hair appointment should be an experience not a transaction, as once the appointment came to an end we left both feeling and looking like a new person.
