Beneath the bustle of the BLOWW hair salon you can find the first ever UK Africology Urban Spa, which offers indulgent holistic treatments inspired by African traditional wisdom and rituals. We’re all up for escaping the hustle, bustle of London especially around Oxford Street which is why we often find ourselves bolting down these stairs into the oasis of the spa with its candle lit corridors and dim lights.
The African Goddess Facial is our treatment a choice, a 75 minute facial which includes a foot cleanse, foot massage, back scrub and back massage.
Anyone who has experienced a facial which starts with a foot cleanse will know just what a difference this makes – it completely relaxes you into a state of barely conciousness.
The facial is anti-agening but given we aren’t that old or wrinkly (so we’re told) the therapist offers a bespoke one to suit our skin. The products are all Africology and the facial feels even longer than the 75 minutes given the various different elements. A special tea is served after the facial and then it’s back into the real, manic world only with your amazing, glowing skin which makes everything seem not so bad.
