We discovered Sabel at a pop-up in Clapton way back in 2015 and we were very impressed by the food. We haven’t managed to get to any more of their events since then, but we’re very happy to see that they’ve launched a Sabel at Home delivery service for the summer.
Sabel at Home: On Tour will be taking on a different country’s cuisine every couple of weeks, virtually journeying through Europe to bring you those dishes you’re missing from your holidays. They kicked things off with France, before moving on to Spain, and next up is Greece and Italy.
We tried the Spain menu and it was seriously good. There was gazpacho, a squid ink noodle ‘paella’, a beautiful slice of pork belly with mojo verde, ‘coca’ (a Spanish pizza), and a Pedro Ximenez creme caramel. There’s a small amount to do to finish the dishes at home, but nothing too taxing and the results are superb.
The France and Spain boxes are unfortunately sold out now but keep an eye on their website for Greece and Italy, as they will be well worth checking out.
