rustic twist wine bar and kitchen now open in stokey

When applied to restaurants ‘rustic’ and ‘twist’ are two words that usually send people running, so to call a new restaurant Rustic Twist was a brave move indeed. We passed this new Stoke Newington spot the other day though and our spirits were lifted once we looked at the menu and spotted ‘nduja croquettes on the ‘nibbles’ section.

The site has changed hands a couple of times over the past few years so it’ll be interesting to see if Rustic Twist can make a go of it. There’s certainly plenty to get excited about, including a big selection of natural Spanish and French wines, charcuterie, cheeses, and a weekly-changing selection of steaks cooked on the Josper grill. There’s also going to be a Sunday roast featuring either aged beef rib or pork belly slow cooked in cider.

The team behind Rustic Twist also have Twist Kitchen in Baker Street which has a good reputation so, despite the name, it’s looking like a promising addition to the neighbourhood.
