On Saturday the 26th Jan you can ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ through the rags from the riches for new additions to your wardrobe that may have come from Bat For Lashes, Jessie Ware, Fearne Cotton, Lauren Laverne, Daisy Lowe, Alison Mosshart, Anna Calvi, Charlotte Church , Annie Mac and many more. Calm down, its two weeks away, we are just saying if you haven’t heard from your old aunt Agnus you better get on the blower and make sure that late Christmas envelope comes in the post so you can spend spend spend…
Following on from last year’s event are The Music Circle people and they tell us they have blagged a Mulberry dress off Fearne Cotton and some DKNY shoes from Alison Mosshart though we thought twice about telling you that, we’d literally Kills you for them. For the gents who are tempted by this also you can pick up Jimmy Carr’s suits for under 50 quid…No, ok thought so.
But on a serious note the sale is in aid of abused women in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Oxfam’s Get Together for International Women’s Day on 8 March 2013. Chef and TV presenter Gizzi Erskine is manning a food stall of creations whipped up by herself, and will also be hitting the decks to spin a few tunes. Plus there is a pop-up retro hair salon from Lipstick & Curls, a nail bar, a stylists corner featuring some surprises familiar faces, tea and cakes, dj’s and a free ping pong table downstairs.
All you need to do is turn up on the day with a bag of jumble to donate and get stuck into the rest! £3 in.
