We’re big fans of both Rök Shoreditch and Islington so we’re made up to hear that they’re opening a third site in Soho this year. But whereas they’ve become known for smoked meats and fish, the new site will be a bit different, focusing instead on vegetable dishes. They’re also going to be producing some of their own ingredients, with everything from cultured dairy products and fermented probiotic bevs to pickled dishes made in their basement preservation cellar. And if all that didn’t sound intriguing enough, they’ve teamed up with cocktail guru Matt Whiley to create a range of non-alcoholic and low ABV house meads and drinking vinegars.
