the success of their Shoreditch spot, Rök are opening restaurant number two in Islington. Set in a Grade II listed building on Upper Street, the restaurant will launch with a new summer menu, featuring dishes like fennel cured hot smoked sea trout, guinea fowl with semi-cured pork belly, and dark chocolate mousse with espresso sorbet. YUM. A few old faves, like the scallop, nduja and seaweed, and the duck with ligonberry bacon jam plates, will also be making their way northwards. Cocktails like Seasonal Bones and Aquavit Sour, prepared using the same smoking and fermenting techniques used in the kitchen, will be on offer at the bar, alongside an extended wine list.
