ROGUES LONDON OPEN A PERM RESTAURANT IN HACKNEY

Rogues London, the pop-up restaurant run by chefs Freddie Sheen and Zac Whittle (who met at Galvin La Chapelle), have finally opened a permanent spot after a successful residency at Hackney Coffee Company that started post-lockdown last year. And they’ve not gone very far at all, moving just further down Hackney Road.

During the pop-up, the pair were serving up a BBQ-focused small plates menu and at the restaurant the vibe will be the same – a weekly changing small plates menu and a carefully curated wine list. That means you can expect dishes like frog kiev with herb mayo, XL scallop with seaweed butter, wagyu with tempura oyster & scallop vinegar, chicken with wild leeks & mushrooms, celeriac with pine nuts & capers, and rhubarb trifle. And they’ve got a late licence so they’ll be serving a spesh menu of grilled cheese sarnies and cocktails through to the early hours as well.
