RICE PADDY IS TAKING OVER BOTTLE + RYE

Robin Gill’s Brixton wine bar Bottle + Rye is getting a Thai twist this autumn as Paul Asher, aka Rice Paddy, is taking up residence for a month. Irish-born Paul has worked with Robin since the days of The Dairy but he’s also spent time in kitchens in Bangkok, and now he’s showcasing his take on Northern Thai food with this pop-up. He’ll be cooking over fire with British and Irish produce, knocking up dishes like gai yang (marinated barbeque chicken), sai oua (aromatic northern sausage), som dtam salads and spicy & sour dips.

During the residency the Bottle + Rye team will be pouring its signature cocktails and central European wines, with the addition of some drinks specially paired to Paul’s food, and the bar will also be open til late on Fridays and Saturdays.
