since it landed in London the Tune Hotel Westminster has managed to stay in tune with its target market, the budget conscious traveller. We haven’t heard one bad review and its TripAvisor profile is pretty impressive too.
So what did LondONtheInside think when we stayed there? Well it does exactly what it says on the tin, provides a clean room with ensuite shower and comfortable bed for a bargain price.

Located on Westminster Bridge Road the hotel is a little out of the way although once you do find it, it’s pretty easy to remember the route. The rooms are clean and bright, ours had 3 windows, a TV (charged extra), hairdryer (charged extra) and ensuite bathroom – the smallest we’ve ever come across but it did the trick. Towels and soap are available from reception (charged extra) and there’s a vending machine for hot drinks (charged extra) or Costa next door.

Basically you pay for the room and everything else costs extra however if you book in advance you can pick up an ensuite room from £25 which is a STEAL and even with the extras it still comes out at well under £50. The beds used are the same as those found in some five-star hotels which means you get a good nights sleep, plus the rain shower was as good as any we’ve found in luxury hotels.

We did have one grumble, the noise – some guests were up all night and you could hear doors opening and closing so if you’re a light sleeper this might be a problem. However we wouldn’t let that put you off. If you’re short of cash or visiting London for a quick city trip and you just need a bed to crash this is one budget hotel giving out the right tunes.

One of the cheapest Westminster hotels.
