REVIEW: TRAMONTANA BRINDISA

Inside there’s a long dining bar where you can grab a vino tinto, plate of Chorizo and some patatas bravas and dine and dash, just like they do in Spain or there’s a more relaxed eating area and outdoor courtyard for summer.

We sampled a selection of tapas mixed down with a glass of dry white sherry, highlights were the creamy ham croquettes wrapped in a crunchy outer shell, the lightly fried punchy Montenebro Cheese salad and the juicy chorizo cooked in a hearty red wine sauce. The Stone Bass with spinach and pine nuts from the specials was well cooked and perfectly presented, however the jury’s still out on whether something that size can be classed as tapas…

For dessert, we shared the huge, velvety chocolate mousse with tangy peach jam which ended the meal on a sugary high. For authentic Spanish in East London, Tramontana is where it’s at.
