Aldgate end of Commercial Street, can be a bit hit and miss but recently we’ve notice there’s been a few more hits than misses. The latest, is cafe Trade, a small independent cafe and sandwich bar that features a simple menu including a killer selection of homemade cakes, outdoor terrace and bright interiors.

The all day menu is bang on trend with the likes of Smashed Avocado on SourDough, Chorizo Chilli Eggs, Homemade baked beans and slow roasted plum tomatoes. We dived straight in with Smashed Avo, poached egg and chorizo on SourDough, a fresh coffee and detox smoothie made up fresh from local fruit and veg.

After all that healthiness we indulged in a bit of naughtiness in the form of brownies filled with salted caramel and black forest gateaux. For homemade, simple goodies in pleasant surrounds Trade makes for the perfect pit stop.
