up peeps, the guys behind Tongue and Cheek have launched a new residency at The Joker Pub of Penton Street in Angel. Located at the end of the Chapel Market, The Joker is a welcome light at the end of the pretty grim tunnel.

The Tongue and Cheek pop-up will serve the usual banging burgers with the addition of some new members to the family. It’s proper dude food alright. We sampled the Piccante burger, dry aged beef patty with Nduja , smoked provola, Kewpie mayo, pickled onions and gem lettuce. BOOM.

We’d also advise ordering the double fried, golden chicken nuggets marinated in fermented rice and the signature spicy slaw with our horseradish, apple and honey sauce. Oh and if you ask nicely (and they let you) the tiramisu…It’s dreamy!
