you are next out in the hustle and bustle of Camden Town you might just want to take a short walk towards Hampstead, where you’ll find a pub with more than at little history. The Washington has that old English feel of a  Victorian pub, it’s inviting and feels like you’ve been in before…

With a daily changing English pub grub menu as well as knocking out Sunday Roasts, it’s a little gem alright. We recently went along and found people chatting on their sofas, drinkers locked into World Cup madness and a few people intrigued about their secret basement bar Martha’s – you’ll have to go and ask.  We sampled the classic beef burger served with a helping of pulled pork as well as the pork and chorizo burger. Both served with skinny chips and in need of an appetite, though the walk up the hill will sort that out for you. They passed the bun test and provide a hearty meal that will satisfy the hungriest of stomachos. A great one for decent, affordable pub food with a whole range of ales and ciders that can easily turn lunch into a day out.
