Fat Of The Land is an airy gastro-pub which serves Spanish tapas located just off Marylebone High Street. The restaurant which opened earlier this year is the third venture from Michael Kittos and Tony Wolfe, the brains behind The Queen’s Head & Artichoke in Regent’s Park and The Norfolk Arms in Bloomsbury.

The Head chef is one Alfonso Lillo Fas – a finalist in the Spanish version of Professional Masterchef and previously a sous chef at Mandarin Oriental. The menu features a pretty lengthy list of tapas from more traditional dishes to slightly off the wall ones.

On a recent visit we sampled a fair few dishes, highlights included the Black Olive and Chocolate Pate with Melba Toast, Tortilla with Chorizo, Chicken Croquetas and Chorizo with Morcilla and soft Polenta. Oh and the Sangria of course, you can’t beat a good sangria.

For dessert we only managed the Chocolate Truffles with Hazelnuts and raisins which were in fact three huge truffles. The Fat Of The Land it might just make you fat…
