Sunday we headed along to the Superette Roast dinner pop-up located at 76 Stoke Newington Road, in the venue which has the cinema style signs outside. We were blown away by the inside of the building which is normally used for fashion shoots and music videos. Superette had done amazing things with the space and manage to create a bar, outside seating area and lovely dinning room.

The menu featured starters, mains and desserts but we delved straight in for a roast opting for the Pork Belly and Beef options. The Beef  served medium rare was a generous, quality cut of beef served with yorkshire pudding, mash potato (FULL MARKS!), roasties, carrots, cauliflower and kale. The Pork served with a perfectly crisp crackling was pilled on all the trimmings. The only grumble we had was that it could have been a little hotter….

Desserts were RED hot! A gooey, chocolate brownie and a bowl of apple and clementime crumble. It’s clear to see how much thought goes into the Superette Pop Ups, the attention to detail is second to none and that’s what makes them stand out from the other food pop ups. We’ll be keeping an eye out for future events as we have a sneaking suspicion there’s already one in the pipeline…

Watch this space!
