Kitchen, the makers of gourmet street food, have set up shop in Shoreditch. The brains behind the van are Mark Jankel and Jun Tanaka both of whom have quite the rep. We went along to check out the new location which is slap bang on Shoreditch High Street.

Whilst the van is outside there is plenty of seating and it’s covered, essential really given our tropical climate – well you don’t want to get sunburn do you? The menu changes daily and features everything from salads to big dirty burgers and skin on chips. We went for the Buffalo bill, a beef patty with organic mature cheddar, pickled onions, lettuce, organic ketchup and smoked grain mustard mayo served on toasted brioche. It was, put simply, MEGA.

We also sampled the sticky, sweet BBQ chicken wings with meat so tender it just fell off the bone – minimum sucking required. A crispy chicken sandwich with bacon, coleslaw and onions and the highly addictive skin on chips sealed the deal and we’re happy to say the whole thing was faultless. It might be a little more expensive than other street food burgers but you all know how the saying goes “you get what you pay for” and the ingredients are top notch.

Hit them up peeps you won’t be disappointed.
