Grind is located slap, bang on Old Street roundabout – easily recognisable from the cinema style sign outside. Due to the sheer volume of people and traffic you’d never think to randomly take a trip there unless you were in the area.

We were, in the area and as we’d been wooed by the sign every time we  rode past it, we went inside to see just what went on in this cool looking joint…

The cafe is small but grab a window seat and you could sit here all day. The coffee is hot and strong, and with prices from £1.70 it’s cheaper than your chains. Sandwiches look fresh and filling, again reasonably priced with prices starting from just £4, and the homemade cakes are tempting at only £2 a pop. Yip this place seems to have the mix just right and we’ll certainly be taking up that window seat more often. If we’re in the area of course…
