roadside burger joint Shake Shack recently opened it’s doors this side of the pond in Covent Garden. The result…a new found frenzie over this American chain with tales of queues lasting all night. With London literally dripping in burgers we were keen to find out how one of the newest kids on the block lives up to the comp…

Well, first up they do pretty decent burgers made from 100% Angus beef, either single or double and yep there is an option for veggie lovers, the Shroom burger not to be confused with the Thai delicacy the Shroom shake. The nicely salted crinkly fries come either plain or with a runny cheese sauce, there’s flat top dogs, concretes – which are mega, dense frozen custard ice-creams blended with all kinds of sweet goodies, shakes and even treats for man’s best mate….yes we are talking about the kind with four feet…pet food.

Get down there yourself, score a table overlooking the piazza and make your own mind up. There’s certainly plenty to like about it that’s for sure.
