Coming from the Bone Daddies team, Shackfuyu was always likely to come up with the goods and with this pop-up, the menu will change regularly as the chefs experiment with different dishes. Think along the lines of posh Japanese-inspired junk food and you’ll have a good idea of what to expect.
We loved the mentaiko mac and cheese with cock scratchings; the Korean chicken wings; the fried potatoes with katsu curry sauce; and best of all the hand dived roasted scallops with chilli miso butter. There’s one main dish of beef rump steak but we’d definitely recommend just sticking to the small plates and sampling more dishes! There’s also one dessert, kinako French toast with soft serve green tea ice cream.
Being a Bone Daddies joint, there is of course the usual rockin soundtrack (Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin) and a very casual atmosphere. We recommend getting down here before the queues go round the block.
