a walk up a hill that looks a bit dull turns out to be just the ticket. Especially when you find places like The Royal Teas, a small but charming little coffee shop on Royal Road in Greenwich. Housed away from the main town this place feels like a cosy little den where you can find shelves full of homemade delights along with teas, freshly ground coffee and lovingly prepared food that will satisfy breakie, brunch and lunch.

The array of cakes on the shelves look just like our nana makes, not that we’re complaining you can’t beat a slice of cake. We went for the Chocolate and Almond and the Chocolate Treacle served warm and washed down with a cup of your finest English Breakfast. Job done.
