all these swanky resturants are getting a bit too much and you find yourself craving some old school classics like pineapple and cheese, sweet and sour chicken or a good old fish finger like your mum made you back in the 90s then retro feasts is for you.

Retro Feasts is in the heart of the west end, just far enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of Regent Street. It’s modest food menu reads like something you ate back when you were a kid. But Retro Feasts serves up some sexy looking grub, that makes your nana’s fisherman pie look like the dog’s dinner. With the likes of coronation chicken salad, corn beef hash and prawn cocktail made with quality ingredients – no Iceland pound spesh here – on the menu and prices ranging from £5 to £15 you can choose a selection of plates for you and your mates to share.

The cocktails have a sweet shop theme, we tried the sherbet fountain made with popping candy, the tasty smokey mirrors – a whisky based cocktail made with lagavulin that tastes like a fireplace – and the traditional rhubarb and custard. All of the cocktails are invented in house and more importantly are reasonably priced. Retro feasts is a good looking number in the centre of town and definitely worth the visit for cocktails, food and all round fun times baby.
