the heart of Westminster hidden behind those local and central government buildings you can find the true heart of what keeps this country running…Traditional British food made to order at breakneck speed in the old fashioned greasy spoon Regency Café. Decked out in old school wooden chairs and tables this lively place looks like it survived the war. Old boxing posters and framed footballers cover the walls but the food is the pull, simple, classic dishes just like granny used to make.

LondOntheInside popped in one lunch time to try a set breakfast. Lucky enough to grab a dining table our orders was bellowed back to us just as we sat down, that was our call to get back up and collect the toast. A few minutes later and ‘Set breakfast, hash browns…..come on fellas that’s you!’ came blasting in our faces. The woman is like a drill sergeant and runs a tight ship. The breakfast was just what a Thursday lunch time ordered, bacon, sausage, beans, fried egg, tea & toast with the extra hash browns. £6.40 and not a complaint among us. This place just might could become a regular………
