it comes to food, atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, Poppy’s Place certainly ticks all the boxes. This newcomer to Munster Road, Fulham boasts of a British farm-to-table menu, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The restaurant is quite small, but the big windows give it a spacious feel and the homely deco resembles something of a farmhouse kitchen. Poppy’s Place is perfect for any occasion, and even acts as a coffee shop for those who don’t quite have the appetite.

We checked out the dinner menu, kicking off with poached egg over crunchy, grilled asparagus and a very generous portion of rosemary and ginger chicken wings. We followed with the juicy onglet steak and grilled chicken breast, perfectly marinated in lemon, garlic & rosemary. For dessert there was only one way we were going, the peanut butter and chocolate brownie ice cream sundae- need we say more?

We left Poppy’s Place full to the brim, but oh so satisfied. And we weren’t the only ones. Even on this particularly wet Thursday evening, the restaurant was beginning to fill up from about 7pm so if dinner is what you’re after, booking is a must!
