trend for restaurants serving just one thing might have slowed down a bit of late but we’re still fans of it. You fancy steak? You go to Flat Iron. You fancy schnitzel? You go to Boopshis. Fancy rotisserie chicken? Then go to Le Coq…

The cosy joint on Balls Pond Road serves 3 starters, one main that’s always roast chicken and 3 desserts mixed up weekly. Simples. We started with a Bresaola with rocket and Parmesan salad, followed juicy roast chicken with rainbow swiss chard, chilli and garlic and THE BEST roast potatoes we’ve had in a very long time with Harissa Yoghurt.

We ended with a rich Chocolate Orange Ice-cream, thick and full of flavour. At £22 for 3 courses you’d be a fool not to get your cluckin ass down there. Because we all love a bit of coq right? SORRY WE COULD’N’T RESIST!
