LaSuite West is a boutique hotel in West London, just a stone’s through from Hyde Park, designed by actress turned hotelier Anouska Hempel. Anouska was also responsible for the famous Blakes Hotel which is credited with being on of the first luxury boutique hotels in the world…
Made up of interconnecting terraced houses, LA Suite West is completely different very minimalist in style, but still with plenty of expensive materials going into the sleek Asian-inspired theme. With rooms decked out in dark woods and featuring slatted sliding doors, the place feels very pared back and slick but still manages to feel cosy with big comfy beds, fluffy duvets, bathrooms with under floor heating big baths.
There’s also plenty of gadgets beneath the surface, with a TV that magically rises from the foot of the bed, touch sensitive lights and iPod docks. Downstairs there’s a lovely outdoor terrace and a recently launched restaurant, RAW, which serves up an all vegan menu and – shock horror – no booze! That’s right folks, it’s juices and mocktails all the way.
You can however buy booze from the supermarket and pop it in your in-room fridge as all rooms come with a small dining table and fridge. Take our lead and head up to Kensington Gardens for a brisk stroll – or even a jog….hang on did we say jog? That must be the juice talking…
With rooms from £169 it’s not bad value either. Perfect for a healthy night or two West.
