first thing that’ll grab your attention about in South Kensington is that it’s very, very pink. The second thing is the pastries. It’s not called the patisserie of dreams for nuh’in. Stepping inside, you’re transported to a candy-coloured world of fancies displayed perfectly to make you drool. And it’s oh-so-very French. We went along for the weekend set brunch menu, a selection of well, EVERYTHING with enough food for the entire population of Paris. Our feast started with the mini brioche and a sweet pastry of our choice (an apple something to ensure we got at least one five-a-day), the scrambled eggs with chives and granola, yogurt and honey DIY bowl.

Next to be voila’d on the table was the warm fresh bread with homemade jams and the charcuterie with a selection of French fromage. By this point, we definitely started to question our nationality, finishing with two of the boutique’s most popular desserts: the Saint Honore salted caramel & cream heaven and the Paris brest- an eye-rollingly good combination of choux pastry with whipped hazelnut filling. Possibly the most difficult decision we had to make that day was just exactly which dessert was our fave.
